A dry human hair takes about as much force to cut as a copper wire of identical diameter.
After three minutes in the shower, the tensile strength of your beard is reduced by nearly seventy percent!
Well–not necessarily YOUR beard as I realize that 99.5% of my readers are women (or you’re a man lurking in the shadows, by all means speak up!) But it’s likely you have a hubby, sweetie, Dad, or brother in your life! As women we of course know that it’s a good idea to shave in the shower–so lets pass on that gem to guys–and make it easier for them as well!
The Shave Well Fogless Shower Mirror is a great solution to this problem. It was super easy to install (just peel and stick and you’re good to go) and it doesn’t fog up-as promised! It gives a nice clear, close up reflection as well.
Update! In my initial review I had mentioned the water spotting and that I was a little concerned with the durability of the mirror. The company was nice enough to pass along these nifty tricks and info–apparently I didn’t read the instructions well enough! (might have been due to the fact I had a crazy 18 month old running around at the time, but who knows!):
Once the mirror is cleaned with toothpaste the water “sheets” off the mirror and you are left with fewer water droplets on the surface. Simply wet the mirror, put a pea size amount of toothpaste on the mirror surface, rub it around a bit and rinse it off well.
After doing this there were *considerably* less droplets and water spotting (I splashed in and let it dry to make sure!)
Also they assured me I could “drop test” it for myself–so I did! I held it up to my height, and whack dropped it onto our real tile floor (cringing all the while) Guess what? It didn’t break! So that’s great to know as well!
The company also passed along this great tidbit on how us *girls* can use the mirror in our showering routine–making it not just for guys:
Exfoliating your face is the best way to reduce the effects of aging because it actually removes dead skin and promotes new cell turnover, fine lines will be less visible and your complexion will glow. After 2-3 minutes in the shower, where the warm moist air really softens your skin and opens your pores, exfoliating becomes most effective and causes less irritation. The benefits of exfoliating in the shower are far greater for this essential beauty treatment and using a fog-free shower mirror will allow you to see yourself in a clear reflection.
Gentle facial scrubs can be used three times a week to reduce signs of aging and keep skin aglow.
