SwaddleDesigns Baby Boy Blog Shower Review & Giveaway

I absolutely loved the “baby episode” of The Office. It did such a great job of portraying exactly what the hospital stay with your first baby is like (the birth–not so much, but definitely the stay)! The part that made me laugh the most is when they’re trying to swaddle their baby in the middle of the night and freaking out because they can’t remember how the nurses told them to do it. This brought back a major flash back to me and Bob at 3 a.m. in the hospital–doing the exact same thing!!!

So when I saw the SwaddleDesigns Marquisette Swaddling Blanket I received from SwaddleDesigns has swaddling directions sewn onto it–I was super impressed! That is exactly what every exhausted bleary eyed parent needs at 4 a.m.!

That wasn’t the only thing I absolutely loved about this blanket though! Not only is it super adorable with the little fishy prints it’s also made out of Cotton Marquisette which similar to muslin, but much softer due to finer threads and higher thread count (it really is super duper soft!) They sent it to me since Tyler is due in July and it’s super lightweight and will ensure he will be snug as a bug without being overheated!

I was so impressed with SwaddleDesigns because when I contacted them about the shower they noticed on my blog that I have a daughter so they also sent me the Baby Lovie – Bright Blue Polka Dot for Amber! It is so cute and the whole back is satin so it is also super soft and just perfect for little fingers to rub! As I’m sure you know a big part of SIDs guidlines tell you not to put anything in the crib with your baby, including fluffy blankets. Once a baby turns 6 months it is recommended you give them a “lovie” so that it can help them self soothe (and sleep through the night even better!) though. The baby lovie is perfect for this because at 14×14 inches it fits within the requirements of being small enough to be “ok” to sleep with

Not to mention on top of all that it’s super adorable as well!!!
